WESTERN DIAMOND CEMENT LIMITED (WDCL)

WDCL is registered under Companies Code 1963 ( ACT 179 ) in Ghana to manufacture the cement in Western Region. The Plant is located in Takoradi,Ghana. WDCL is a cement-grinding unit equipped with modern Technology (VRM). WDCL manufactures PLC cement and Slag Cement especially meant for Oil Industry.

WDCL has a rated capacity of 1.0 million MT of cement per year. The main objective of the plant is to produce the cement for the Ghanaian market especially western part of Ghana and export to other countries of West Africa.

The total project cost is estimated at US $ 32 Millions. The project started the construction activity in Sept. 2012 and Commercial production from Sept. 2014.

WDCL provides 500 job opportunities for technical and non-technical Ghanaians directly and indirectly.

WDCL also will create opportunities for the growth of other activities like power generation, transport, oil, telecommunications, associated industries, commerce and trade, which in turn promote the growth of national economy.
